AAPI Heritage Month Celebration

CAWM was honored to collaborate as a partner for the AAPI Heritage Month Celebration hosted by the Amherst Human Rights Commission. The event, held on a beautiful Sunday at Amherst Town Common, provided the perfect outdoor setting for celebration. Attendees enjoyed delicious Asian ethnic food and were treated to outstanding performances showcasing various Asian cultures.

Our culture was represented by three performance groups: The Chinese Kungfu Wushu Academy with a Wushu/Kungfu demonstration, Mr. Zhen Ren with an Erhu solo (also known as "the Chinese Violin"), and East Culture Arts, Inc. with Asian dances. It was a pleasure to connect with families at the culture workshops provided by CAWM during the event.

We are super proud of our volunteers and performers who helped raise cultural awareness and promote diversity while contributing to the celebration of AAPI heritage.
